Health Screen Project
August 2 – 22, 2020
Volunteer helpers from the health sector are specifically invited to join our Health Screen Project as part of the Community Outreach Project from August 2 – 22,2020.
Partnering with Ghana Health Services the Health Screen Project holds community health screening days in disadvantaged communities to provide free screening for communicable diseases, counselling and information sessions on health services available to community members.
During the 3 weeks volunteers, AFAWI Staff and health practitioners will be working in two communities, to screen for HIV/AIDs, Malaria, Hepatitis B, Blood Pressure, eye screening, Breast Cancer and overall health.
To continue the sustainability of the Health Screen Project, AFAWI will also make a contribution towards the building of a new community clinic.
